چکیده
Asteroseismology has proven to be a powerful method for probing stellar interiors. Analytical descriptions of the global oscillation modes, in combination with pulsation codes, have provided valuable help processing and interpreting large amount seismic data collected by CoRoT, $Kepler$, TESS missions. These prior results paved way more in-depth analyses spectra stars, which requires innovative theoretical oscillations. In this paper, we aim analytically express resonance condition spheroidal adiabatic modes very general way, applicable at different evolutionary stages. present formulation, star is represented as an acoustic interferometer composed multitude resonant cavities where waves can propagate short-wavelength JWKB approximation met. Each cavity separated from adjacent ones barriers, corresponds regions either are evanescent or fails. The stationary computed using two physical representations: 1) infinite-time reflections picture 2) linear boundary value problem picture. Both provide same condition, ultimately turns out depend on number parameters: reflection transmission phase lags introduced each barrier, coupling factor associated wave integral over cavity. Using such retrieve usual forms derived previous works (e.g., mixed three cavities, low- large-amplitude glitches). This provides new tool that useful predicting interpret observations Practical applications left future work.

Universality in oscillation modes of superfluid neutron stars?
It has been well established that the f -mode of relativistic ordinary-fluid neutron stars displays a universal scaling behavior. Here we study whether the “ordinary” foand “superfluid” fs-modes of superfluid neutron stars also show similar universal behavior. We first consider a simple case where the neutron superfluid and normal fluid are decoupled, and with each fluid modeled by a polytropic...
متن کاملThree Disk Oscillation Modes of Rotating Magnetized Neutron Stars
We discuss three specific modes of accretion disks around rotating magnetized neutron stars which may explain the separations of the kilo Hertz quasi periodic oscillations (QPO) seen in low mass X-ray binaries. The existence of these modes requires that there be a maximum in the angular velocity of the accreting material, and that the fluid is in stable, nearly circular motion near this maximum...
متن کاملOn the oscillation spectra of ultracompact stars: An extensive survey of gravitational-wave modes
An extensive survey of gravitational-wave modes for uniform density stars is presented. The study covers stars ranging in compactness from R/M = 100 to the limit of stability in general relativity: R/M = 9/4. We establish that polar and axial gravitational-wave modes exist for all these stellar models. Moreover, there are two distinct families of both axial and polar modes. We discuss the physi...

This work is a study of the Earths free oscillations considering a merge of solid and liquid model. At the turn of 19th century Geophysicists presented the theory of the free oscillations for a self-gravitating, isotropic and compressible sphere. Assuming a steel structure for an Earth size sphere, they predicted a period of oscillation of about 1 hour. About 50 years later, the free oscillat...
متن کاملA new numerical approach to the oscillation modes of relativistic stars
The oscillation modes of a simple polytropic stellar model are studied. Using a new numerical approach (based on integration for complex coordinates) to the problem for the stellar exterior we have computed the eigenfrequencies of the highly damped w-modes. The results obtained agree well with recent ones of Leins, Nollert and Soffel [Phys. Rev. D 48 3467 (1993)]. Specifically, we are able to e...
